UCF's Shaquem Griffin is among a group of semifinalists for the inaugural Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year. A group of semifinalists that includes 20 of the nation's top leaders in college football was announced earlier today.

ECU's Jake Agnos has been chosen to represent the Pirates and the American Athletic Conference at the 2017-18 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. on Nov. 16-19.

Senior wide receiver Anthony Miller was named one of 10 semifinalists for the Burlsworth Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on.

Fans will have their first look at the 2017-18 Temple men's basketball team on Thursday, Nov. 9 as the Owls play an exhibition game against Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) at 7:30 p.m. in the Liacouras Center. Temple will play its first six regular season games away from home before returning on Dec. 6 to face Wisconsin.

The American is having a great season on the gridiron with a New Year's Six bowl all but locked up for the league and if that isn't enough, college basketball is right around the corner. In fact, ten teams will tip-off on Friday, including #7 Wichita State and #12 Cincinnati as the Shockers and Bearcats each host out-of-conference foes to begin the season.
