Seth Allen hit a three-pointer with 3.8 seconds to play to lift Virginia Tech to a 71-70 victory over Clemson on Tuesday in Cassell Coliseum. Allen's clutch three was his second of the season against the Tigers, both in one-point victories. Tech improved to 19-8 overall, 8-7 in the ACC. The loss dropped Clemson to 14-13 (4-11 in league play).

Following a trio of wins in Clearwater, Florida during the first weekend of the season, the No. 6 Louisville baseball team begins its 2017 home schedule with a visit from Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday at 3 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. Wednesday's home-opener, which begins an eight-game homestand for the Cardinals, will be televised on ACC Network Extra, while radio coverage is set for 1450 WXVW.

Down by as many as nine midway through the second half, the University of Miami men's basketball team looked to the charity stripe in order to fight its way back into the game against the University of Virginia Monday night.

Elijah Thomas had a double-double to lead four players in double figures, but it was not enough Saturday against a Miami team that prevailed 71-65 at home. The Hurricanes improved to 18-8 on the season, 8-6 in the ACC. The Tigers dropped to 14-12 overall, 4-10 in league play.

The Wake Forest baseball team opened the 2017 season with a doubleheader split, defeating Nicholls 5-0 before falling to No. 20 Houston, 8-1, at Schroeder Park on Friday.
