There is a lot of football to be played this weekend in the American Athletic Conference with six games on tap, including two that feature ranked teams with the #20 UCF Knights at Navy and #16 USF taking on Tulane in New Orleans. But The American already has one ranked team able to sit back and enjoy a Week 8 win after the Memphis Tigers recorded an epic comeback on the road against the Houston Cougars.

K-State baseball will begin its 2018 season on February 16, as 15th-year head coach Brad Hill revealed the entire 56-game slate that includes 29 home games and non-conference trips to South Carolina, Virginia and California.

The University of Louisville named Vincent Tyra as acting director of athletics effective immediately.

UofL Interim President Dr. Greg Postel announced Tyra's appointment at a press conference.
