Clemson righthander Tyler Jackson signed a free-agent contract with the Seattle Mariners, announced by the organization. He became the 10th Tiger in 2017 to either be drafted or sign a free-agent deal. Jackson also became the first Tiger to sign a free-agent contract since 2012 (David Haselden).

Nate Yeskie, who led Oregon State to the national lead in several pitching categories, has been named the Assistant Coach of the Year for 2017 by D1 Baseball, it was announced.
