A two-run fifth inning put No. 15 TCU in front to stay as the Horned Frogs collected their second Top-10 win on the weekend with an 18-6 rout of No. 8 Arkansas Saturday night in the Higginbotham College Baseball Showdown.

Six Frogs registered multi-hits, while seven drove in at least two runs.

The Rundown
TCU and Arkansas were locked in a 4-4 battle after four innings that saw the Frogs take a lead only to see Arkansas respond in kind in the bottom of the inning.

In the fifth, TCU had the bases loaded with two outs when Cole Fontenelle delivered an RBI single to put the Frogs in front. Two batters later, Anthony Silva worked a bases-loaded walk for a 6-4 lead.

A four spot in the sixth gave the Frogs some breathing room. Kurtis Byrne drove in the inning's first run. Luke Boyers worked another bases-loaded walk and back-to-back sacrifice flies from Fontenelle and Tre Richardson pushed the Frogs lead to six, 10-4.

Austin Davis' lead-off home run in the seventh matched Arkansas' sixth inning solo home run, keeping the lead at six, 11-5.

Seven runs in the final two frames put the game out of reach. Davis highlighted the eighth with a two-out, two-run double. Silva's two-run single was the key contributor to a four run ninth.

On the mound, a trio of freshmen held the Razorbacks in check, allowing just two solo home runs on four hits with just one walk and 10 strikeouts. Kole Klecker (1-0) picked up the win in relief. He surrendered a run on three hits and struck out six in 4 1/3 innings. Ben Abeldt worked two scoreless and Justin Hackett closed out the game in the ninth.
