The Mississippi State Bulldogs (22-15) triumphed again over the Ole Miss Rebels to win the series in front of a crowd of over 12,000 fans. Dudy Noble Field saw 43,986 fans walk through the gates this weekend, which is the regular season all-time record for attendance in its' history.

Jurrangelo Cijntje drew the start for the Diamond Dawgs, and he did not disappoint. He threw four scoreless innings to start the game and picked up seven strike outs, whle only allowing three hits and one earned run. Aaron Nixon closed out the game for the Dawgs and was almost unhittable. He allowed one hit in eight batters faced in two and two thirds of inning of work.

Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines led the way at the plate. State took an early 3-0 lead when Jordan homered to deep center with Ross Highfill and Colton Ledbetter on base. Jordan went 2-for-4 on the day with three RBIs. Hunter Hines went 1-for-3 at bat today with 2 RBIs, which came from his two-run bomb to right field which scored David Mershon.
