The University of Cincinnati baseball team earned a 12-1 run-rule victory over Tulane on Sunday afternoon inside UC Baseball Stadium. Redshirt junior Kameron Guidry walked it off for the Bearcats with a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh.

The Bearcats complete the series with two wins over the Green Wave, as UC improves to 17-24 overall and 5-7 in the American.
 
Sophomore Tommy O'Connor went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base. He was a triple shy of the cycle. He belted his third homer of the season, a three-run shot 433 feet over the center field wall at 113 mph off the bat, in the sixth inning. 
 
Sophomore Kerrington Cross continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a walk and a stolen base. He batted .545 (6-for-11) against the Green Wave this weekend. 
 
Junior Cole Harting went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored while sophomore Lauden Brooks finished 1-for-2 with an RBI, two walks and a stolen base.  

Starter Tommy Boba (2-1) went four innings of two-hit ball to pick up the victory. The freshman right-handed pitcher allowed one unearned run and struck out six batters with three walks. Chase Horst tossed three shutout innings in relief, allowing just two hits with three strikeouts. The freshmen duo combined for a four-hitter and allowed no earned runs. 
 
// HOW IT HAPPENED 
Cross led off the bottom of the first inning with a single up the middle and advanced to second on a failed pick-off attempt. O'Connor drove in the first run of the game with a one-out RBI double to left center.
 
Ryan Nicholson notched a lead-off single to right center in the bottom of the third. Kameron Guidry followed with a walk to put runners on first and second. Harting then laced a two-run single to right field to make it 3-0.
 
The Green Wave got on the board with one run in the top of the fourth. Horst came out of the bullpen in the fifth and needed just 11 pitches to retire the side in order. 
 
Cross was hit-by-pitch and Alec Jones recorded an infield single with one out in the bottom of the sixth. O'Connor stepped into the batter's box and smashed a three-run homer that sailed 433 feet over the center field wall at 113 mph off the bat to extend the lead to 6-1.
 
The Bearcats exploded for six runs on four hits in the home half of the seventh. Brooks delivered a one-out RBI single and later raced home on a wild pitch. O'Connor laid down a two-out RBI bunt to score Cross. Guidry then belted a three-run shot over the right field wall to walk it off for the Bearcats. It marked his second homer in the last three games.
