No. 17 Iowa State did what it has done all season, applying pressure, forcing turnovers and limiting high-percentage shots in a 47-37 victory over Jackson State Sunday afternoon in Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones (10-0, 0-0 Big 12) held Jackson State (2-7, 0-0 SWAC) to 40 percent shooting and pestered the Tigers into 22 miscues. Iowa State is now 10-0 for just the third time in school history and rattled off a 10-game win streak for only the sixth time in the history of the program.

It was the fifth time this season an ISU opponent had 20 or more turnovers and the 37 points by the Tigers was the lowest point total by an ISU opponent since 2014.

Aljaž Kunc came off the bench to lead the Cyclones with 12 points, including a 3-of-3 effort from beyond the arc. He also had five boards.

Izaiah Brockington chipped in with nine points and grabbed a team-high seven caroms. Gabe Kalscheur was the only other Cyclone in double-figure scoring with 11 points.

The Cyclones took the lead right away, going on their longest run of the season (19-0) while holding the Tigers scoreless for a 9:34 stretch in the first half. ISU was up 28-20 at the break.

The Tigers took a chunk out of ISU's one-time 16-point lead and cut it to six points (28-22) at the beginning of the first half. The Cyclones bounced back with nine-straight points behind a trey from Kunc to make it a 37-22 Cyclone lead with 15:28 left in the game.
