DeLonnie Hunt, a 2023 Third Team All-NEC honoree at Wagner, will transfer to Richmond and play for the Spiders this upcoming season. Hunt, who has totaled 732 points and made 72 starts at Wagner over the last three seasons, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Hunt, a 6'0" guard, led Wagner with 11.1 points and 31.6 minutes per game last season. He ranked second on the Seahawks with 2.7 assists per game, 13th most in the NEC, as Wagner finished the season 15-13 overall and 8-8 in NEC play. In late February, Hunt was named to the All-NEC Third Team.

In 2020-21, Hunt was picked as the NEC's Rookie of the Year after starting all 20 games and averaging 10.6 points for a team that went 13-5 in league play, winning the NEC regular-season title. In 2021-22, Hunt averaged 8.4 points and 2.6 assists per game as Wagner finished with a 21-6 record and a 13-3 mark in the NEC.

Hunt, who hails from Upper Marlboro, Md, prepped at Rock Creek Christian Academy, where he led the team to a Maryland Private School State Championship in 2020. He was named Fourth Team All-Met by the Washington Post following the season.

Hunt is the second left-handed guard to transfer from Wagner to Richmond in the last five years along with Blake Francis in 2018. Francis led the Spiders in scoring in 2019-20 and 2020-21 and was named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team following both seasons.
