TCU’s Emanuel Miller (player) and Texas Tech’s Chance McMillian (newcomer) picked up Big 12 men’s basketball awards for the fourth week of the season. Miller collected his second career honor while McMillian was recognized for the first time this season.

Miller scored a career-high 29 points, including a buzzer-beating game-winning 3-pointer to lead TCU to an 84-83 win at Georgetown on Saturday. The senior forward made a career-high 12 field goals on 18 attempts and matched a career-high with three 3-pointers made on four attempts. In a win over Houston Baptist, Miller led the Frogs with 19 points. For the week, the general studies major averaged 24 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and one block over two games.

McMillian matched a career-high with 24 points after going 8-for-10 on 3-pointers in an overtime loss at Butler last Thursday. He was 4-for-4 on 3-pointers in the second half to help Tech force overtime, and also finished the game as the leading rebounder with seven. His eight 3-pointers were a career-high and one off the Texas Tech single-game record. A transfer from Grand Canyon playing in a reserve role, the university studies student played 36 minutes in the game and scored in double figures for the second time this season.
