Memphis' Jahvon Quinerly was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after putting together one of the best weeks of his career on the court.

It's his third AAC weekly honor of the season, but his first Player of the Week accolade.

Quinerly, a fifth-year senior from Hackensack, New Jersey, averaged 24.0 points, 7.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game last week in wins over UTSA (109-101) and Wichita State (112-86).

He shot 53.3 percent from the floor (16-30), 61.5 percent from deep (8-13) and 80.0 percent from the line (8-10).

He led the Memphis offense to an average of 109.5 points in two games as the Tigers (15-2) extended their win streak to 10 games. It was the first time Memphis had scored 100-plus points in back-to-back games since 1986.

Quinerly started the week with 25 points, four rebounds and four assists in Thursday's overtime victory at home over the Roadrunners, where he scored a game-high nine points in the extra frame.

The point guard backed that performance up with 23 points, a career high-tying 11 assists and four steals in Sunday's record-setting win at Wichita State. It marked the second double-double of his career and the first since March 22, 2021.

It is just the third time that Quinerly has scored 20-plus points in back-to-back games.

He directed the Tigers offense to the most points ever scored in an AAC game against the Shockers and the most points ever scored in a half (63) of a league game.
