For the first time since 2013, California will travel to Colorado to face the Buffaloes, as the Golden Bears begin a stretch of three of the final four regular-season games on the road.

When Justin Wilcox returned to Berkeley before the 2017 season to take the reins as Cal's new head coach, he brought a well-earned reputation as a coach who hung his hat on the impact a quality defense could have on the long-term success of a football program.

A strong first half by No. 6 Washington put the Huskies in front early and the Cal football team couldn't come up with the answers it needed to stage a comeback as the Bears fell 38-7 at Husky Stadium.

California returns to the Northwest on Saturday looking for its second victory in as many trips to Washington after a 30-24 victory over the Huskies the last time the Golden Bears visited Seattle on Sept. 26, 2015.

California hits the road for the first time since the season-opener at North Carolina when the Golden Bears face Oregon in Eugene, Ore., this Saturday.
