Miami University head football coach Chuck Martin has announced that Scott Booker will serve as wide receiver's coach. Booker becomes Miami's 10th assistant coach, which was recently approved by the NCAA for all football programs. Martin also announced that Bill Brechin (previous wide receiver coach) will coach safeties, Joe Palcic (previous safeties coach) has been named special teams coordinator and Israel Woolfork (previous running back coach) will coach running backs/slot wide receivers.

The Miami University men's basketball team continues its rivalry with Ball State as it welcomes the Cardinals to Millett Hall for a Saturday matinée. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Despite a valiant third-period rally, the Miami hockey team was unable to erase a four-goal deficit and dropped a 4-3 decision to Omaha on Saturday night.

Miami resumes regular season play with its first official game since Dec. 9 when it hosts a series against defending national champion Denver. Saturday's tilt is part of One Miami Weekend, ending a tripleheader of home events as both the women's and men's basketball teams are home earlier in the day.
