The Maize and Blue got off to a quick start, taking an 8-2 lead, including a 6-0 run that forced Wisconsin to call an early timeout at the 16:37 mark. The Badgers then went on a 9-2 run to take their first lead of the game, 11-10, with 12:17 remaining in the opening half.

One of the few bright spots from Nebraska's gut-wrenching 70-69 overtime loss to No. 7 Wisconsin on Thursday night came after the game, when Ed Morrow gave a favorable health report.

The No. 25-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (10-5, 0-2 Big Ten) fell to the No. 11/13 Wisconsin Badgers (13-2, 2-0 Big Ten), 75-68, on Tuesday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.

A shot at buzzer ended the season for the No. 2 seed Xavier in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night, as seventh-seeded Wisconsin came away with the 66-63 win. Xavier finishes the season 28-6 overall.
