Boston College suffered its most lopsided defeat of the season, falling 96-66 at #20/18 North Carolina on Tuesday night.

The Eagles connected on their first two 3-pointers of the game and led 6-2. But UNC scored 10 unanswered points en route to a 16-1 run, taking control with an 18-7 lead with 12:06 left in the first half. BC would counter and cut it to six (18-12) before an 15-5 Tar Heel push made it a 16-point advantage for the home team (33-17). Carolina led 50-35 at the break.

Attention in The American is turning to basketball now that football is over (reminder: UCF won the national championship) and conference play starts to shift into high gear.
