The Rice Owls saw their hopes for a memorable debut on an international stage end early as the 14th ranked Stanford Cardinal rolled to a 62-7 win in the second annual Sydney Cup at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia.

The North Texas football program unveiled its new Nike uniforms for the 2017 season Monday. The Mean Green will have three new helmets, in addition to the chrome helmet worn for the final three games of the 2016 season, as well as new green, white and black jerseys to go along with white and black pants.

Old Dominion University Football practiced for the seventh time in fall camp and began the second week of camp today at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex Practice fields.

Chase Clement, who demolished every Rice passing record during a glittering career from 2005-08, will be one of five standouts honored by the Texas Bowl as members of the 2017 class of Gridiron Legends. Clement will join Cliff Branch, the late Emory Bellard, Lawrence Elkins and Casey Hampton in pregame ceremonies prior to the 2017 Texas Bowl, which will be played on December 27 at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Mother Nature gave Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz exactly what he wanted on Tuesday morning.

It was a double dose of positive as overcast, dreary, raining conditions greeted the Bulldogs at Joe Aillet Stadium for a two-hour workout. With the rain came cooler temperatures and an opportunity for Holtz and Co. to get some much needed snaps in wet conditions.
