Student-athletes from Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Texas collected accolades for their performances in Week 13.

Iowa State’s Brock Purdy was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Oklahoma State’s Amen Ogbongbemiga earned Defensive Player of the Week. A pair of Longhorns picked up awards, as D’Shawn Jamison earned Special Teams Player of the Week and Bijan Robinson Newcomer of the Week.

Purdy completed 87 percent (20-of-23) of his passes, the second-best single-game completion rate in school history as the Cyclones defeated West Virginia 42-6 and clinched a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game for the first time in school history. He also accounted for four touchdowns, three by passing and one by rush. His TD passes went for 2, 16 and 28 yards, and his TD rush was a 10-yarder.

Ogbongbemiga set an OSU single game record and matched a Big 12 single game record with three forced fumbles. He recovered two of his own forced fumbles in the fourth quarter to help give the Cowboy offense chances to score in the one-possession game. It marked the most forced fumbles by any FBS player in a game this season and was one short the NCAA FBS single game record of four. The redshirt senior finished as the game's leader in total tackles (12) and solo tackles (9).

Jamison returned three kickoffs for a total of 150 yards (50.0 avg) against Kansas State. His 50 yards-per-return average on kickoffs broke a nine-year-old Texas single-game record, held previously by Fozzy Whittaker in 2011. The junior logged kickoff returns of 98 yards, tied for the second-longest of his career, 37 yards and 15 yards. His 150 kickoff return yards, as well as his 160 all-purpose yards, were both career highs.

Robinson rushed for a Big 12 weekend-best 172 yards on nine carries and scored three rushing touchdowns in the win at K-State. He also set career-highs as a receiver, catching three passes for 51 yards. His YPC of 19.1 was a school record (min of eight carries). The freshman broke a longstanding record established in 1951.

The offensive award is the third for Purdy in his career and the first this season. Ogbongbemiga earned his first defensive award and second weekly career award. Jamison’s award was the third of his career and second of the year. The newcomer honor was the second for Robinson.
