Boston College journeys up to Burlington this weekend to break up a seven-game streak staged at Kelley Rink between the Eagles and Catamounts. This weekend's series marks BC's first trip to Gutterson Fieldhouse since Feb. 19-20, 2016 where the Eagles swept Vermont,  3-1 and 4-1, respectively. That sweep ignited a 6-1-2 run against UVM since that series as Boston College earned its revenge over Vermont.

UConn senior Jeff Wight (Coquitlam, British Columbia) scored a power play goal in the second but Boston College answered with a shorthanded score and a power play goal of their own in the period to come away with a 2-1 Hockey East win Tuesday night at Kelley Rink.

The streak was ended. On the 31st try, Merrimack ended a significant streak last year on Feb. 10, 2017. The Eagles were 27-0-3 against the Warriors at Kelley Rink and and had that unbeaten stretch halted between the Beanpot last season when Merrimack skated away with a 6-3 triumph. Now, the Kelley Rink record against Merrimack stands at 27-1-3.

After breakout offensive showings, sophomore forward Gordie Green (Ann Arbor, Mich./Dubuque (USHL)) and junior defenseman Grant Hutton (Carmel, Ind./Janesville (NAHL)) have earned weekly honors from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
