The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced its Academic All-Conference Team on Wednesday with Miami being well represented among the 117 members.

A total of 14 RedHawks were placed on the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team for carrying a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade-point average into the spring semester, while four also garnered NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition for maintaining a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

While freshmen and first-year transfers are not currently eligible for the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team or Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition, those freshmen and transfers that achieve a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better at the conclusion of the 2022-23 academic year will be added to the Academic All-Conference Team by the NCHC over the summer. Similarly, any freshmen or transfers who compile a 3.5 GPA or better will be named a NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.

The 2022-23 NCHC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, chosen from senior Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, will be announced at the annual NCHC Awards Celebration on Thursday, March 16 in Saint Paul, Minn.

Miami returns to action on the ice this weekend at Minnesota Duluth. Puck drop on Friday. Feb. 24 is set for 8 p.m. ET at AMSOIL Arena.
