Toledo's Johnson & Johnson Among Top Receivers in the Nation

University of Toledo wide receiver Diontae Johnson (Ruskin, Fla.) was added to the official Watch List for the 2017 Biletnikoff Award on Wednesday. The Biletnikoff Award has been presented annually to the nation's top receiver since 1994.

Johnson, a sophomore, leads the Rockets with 36 receptions and is fourth in the nation with eight touchdown receptions this season. He is 13th in the country in all-purpose yards, averaging 150.6 yards per game.

Johnson joins teammate Jon'Vea Johnson on the official watch list. Senior Cody Thompson was on the preseason watch list but is out for the season due to an injury.

The 2017 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented live on Dec. 7, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN. College Football Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard will present the 2017 Biletnikoff Award winner on the show. The 2017 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented his trophy before 550 patrons at the Biletnikoff Award Banquet at the University Center Club at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018.

Toledo (7-1, 4-0 MAC) hosts Northern Illinois (6-2, 4-0 MAC) this Thursday at the Glass Bowl at 6:00 p.m.
