The Troy men's basketball squad and head coach Scott Cross announced the addition of freshman Nate Tshimanga, the team announced.

With the addition of Tshimanga, the Trojans have now finalized their 2021-22 roster.

"Nate is the younger brother of Link Kabadyundi, who played for [coach] Mangrum and I at UT Arlington," Cross said. "Link was one of our favorite players to coach, and so, we know that Nate comes from a great family. He is 6-10 and has some great post moves, and will add another layer of depth to our team. His size, versatility and character makes him a great asset to our squad. He really is an 'OKG.' Trojan Nation is going to love getting to know and watching Nate."

The Quebec, Montreal, Canada native, comes to Troy after spending a post-graduate year with Our Savior Lutheran School, where he averaged 14 points and nine rebounds per game.

The forward continues in long line of successful basketball players. His brothers Emmanuel, Jordy and Link all played DI basketball (UC Irvine, Dayton and UT Arlington). Tshimanga's sister Yasmine played at LSU while his sister Florence currently plays at Indiana State.

Tshimanga joins Christyon Eugene, Cody Dean, TK Smith, Efe Odigie and Rifen Miguel as the sixth member of the 2021 signing class.
