A pair of University of Arizona football players collected prestigious honors Monday as they were selected to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America team. Colin Schooler, the Pac-12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year, and Kylan Wilborn represented the Wildcats as one of only three teams to place multiple players on the team.

In a hard fought contest that featured 18 lead changes and 11 ties, it was No. 4 Arizona State who led last on Sunday and emerged with an 80-77 victory at Utah.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Sun Devils (13-2, 1-2 Pac-12) and marked the program's first victory against the Utes (10-5, 2-2) in Salt Lake City since 1975.

It will be UA's first trip to Utah and Colorado in two seasons due to unbalanced conference scheduling, opening with the Utes in Salt Lake City on Thursday night.

The University of Arizona has fired football coach Rich Rodriguez just five days after his former administrative assistant had filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit alleging the former coach of the Wildcats had sexually harassed her and created a hostile work environment.
