Georgia State's Men's Soccer Senior Midfielder, Ross Finnie has been named to the Preseason All- Sun Belt Team, announced by the Sun Belt.

In 2021, Finnie appeared in all 20 matches while making 19 starts, scoring one goal and leading the team with six assists to earn All-MAC Second Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team honors. He ranked No. 95 in the NCAA with six assists, one of them being in GSU's 1-0 NCAA Tournament win over Charlotte, the first NCAA Tournament win in program history. He scored a goal in the MAC opener at Bowling Green and recorded an assist in the win over West Virginia in the MAC Championship.

The conference also released the 2022 preseason coaches' poll ranking the Panthers at no. 7. West Virginia and 2020 National Champion, Marshall, landed at no. 1 and 2, respectively.
