No. 18 South Carolina led No. 9 Florida 5-3 entering the bottom of the eighth inning, but a grand slam homer by JJ Schwarz lifted the Gators to a 7-5 win on Saturday at McKethan Stadium in the rubber game of a three-game SEC baseball series. South Carolina is now 24-15 and 9-9 in the SEC with Florida 27-13 and 10-8 in league play.

Alex Faedo pitched 8.2 scoreless innings and a two-out RBI single by Keenan Bell in the bottom of the fifth inning was enough to lift ninth ranked Florida to a 1-0 win over 18th ranked South Carolina on Thursday night at McKethan Stadium. Florida is 26-12 and 9-7 in the SEC with South Carolina dropping to 23-14 and 8-8 in league play.

No. 11 Mississippi State returned home and used its popular formula of aggressive base running and strong relief pitching to nail down a victory.

The No. 4 Clemson Tigers scored six runs in the fourth inning en route to a 9-7 win over Georgia at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday night. The Tigers completed the home-and-home series sweep and upped their record to 31-7, while the Bulldogs fell to 15-23.

The Ole Miss baseball team jumped out to an 8-1 lead after the first two innings, cruising to a 14-6 midweek win over UAPB Wednesday night at Swayze Field. The Rebels (23-14) plated six runs in the second, tying their highest offensive output in an inning all season, to remain undefeated all-time (7-0) against the Golden Lions (12-24).
