Alex Destino and Jacob Olson each homered and fourth ranked South Carolina scored five runs in the first five innings on the way to a 5-4 victory over Charlotte on Tuesday night at Founders Park. The Gamecocks improve to 3-1 with Charlotte dropping to 2-2 on the season.

Mizzou Men's Basketball (7-19, 2-12) returns to Mizzou Arena for its second-to-last home game of the season, hosting No. 11 Kentucky (22-5, 12-2) for an 8 p.m. CT tipoff. Live coverage will be provided by the SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.

South Carolina won its opening weekend series with a pair of victories vs. UNCG. The Gamecocks defeated the Spartans 7-1 and 5-1 with a 1-0 loss on Sunday. The Gamecocks are 2-1 on the year and will host five games this upcoming week at Founders Park beginning on Tuesday afternoon with Charlotte at 4 p.m.

Mizzou Baseball won its series finale with Eastern Michigan, 7-2, on Sunday at City of Palms Park, completing a 3-1 weekend against the Eagles. RS sophomore Liam Carter turned in a tremendous start, allowing just two runs over 5.0 innings while scattering only four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

No. 21/19 South Carolina's (20-6, 10-3 SEC) comeback fell short at home Wednesday night, as the team suffered an 83-76 loss to Arkansas (19-7, 8-5 SEC). Senior Sindarius Thornwell had 25-plus for the third straight game, finishing with 27 points to lead all scorers. He went 10-for-19 from the field, setting a new career high with his 10 made field goals.
