The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the second week of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Andrew Brait, R-Jr., INF, UCF
Brait aided the Knights in becoming the first nonconference opponent to earn a sweep at Clemson since 1985 by hitting .467 (7-15) for the week. The redshirt junior also recorded three runs, three doubles and six runs driven in.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Grant Adler, Jr., Wichita State
Adler earned the win in the series finale at Utah Tech on Saturday, only allowing one hit in six innings with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
 
HONOR ROLL
Luke Nowak, So., OF, East Carolina
Nowak hit .385 (5-13) with three RBI as the Pirates earned a 2-game sweep over North Carolina, winning Friday at home and Sunday in Chapel Hill.
 
Trey Yesavage, So., P, East Carolina
Yesavage struck out eight Tar Heels and only allowed three hits and one run in six innings of work in Friday’s come-from-behind win over North Carolina.
 
JT Durham, Jr., P, Memphis
Durham earned the win for the Tigers in the third game against Youngstown State, striking out seven with four hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings.
 
Anthony Hansen, Sr., 1B, Memphis
Hansen hit .500 (10-20) with seven runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and three RBI as the Tigers went 4-1 last week.
 
Garrett Pennington, Jr., OF/1B, Wichita State
Pennington helped the Shockers go 3-1 last week by hitting .579 (11-19) with four runs, three doubles, two home runs and five RBI.
