(BCSNN) — Northern Illinois head coach Thomas Hammock has stepped down after seven seasons to accept a coaching position in the National Football League, the university announced. Hammock, a former NIU running back and Hall of Famer, leaves after guiding the Huskies to a Mid-American Conference championship, multiple bowl victories, and one of the biggest wins in program history.

(BCSNN) — Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham announced Wednesday that Larry Black has joined the Wolverines’ staff as defensive tackles coach. Black arrives with 12 years of collegiate coaching experience, including nine seasons working exclusively with defensive lines.

(BCSNN) - Colorado’s 2026 football season will begin earlier than planned, as the Buffaloes’ opener at Georgia Tech has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 3, the school announced. The game in Atlanta will air nationally on ESPN, with kickoff time to be announced later.
