LOS ANGELES — Jordan Marsh, the Big South’s Newcomer of the Year last season, is transferring to Southern California, the program announced. The former UNC Asheville guard, who averaged 18.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, becomes the eighth player to join the Trojans during the offseason.
Marsh began his college career at Appalachian State, where he played in 32 games off the bench as a freshman before transferring to UNC Asheville. His breakout sophomore season made him one of the most sought-after guards in the transfer portal. USC head coach Eric Musselman praised Marsh’s ability to excel in transition and disrupt opposing offenses with his defensive instincts. “Jordan excels on the open floor and is a defensive disruptor with his ability to create steals,” Musselman said.
USC has undergone a significant roster overhaul under Musselman, who is entering his second season with the program. Marsh’s arrival adds depth to a backcourt that is looking to improve after a challenging 2024-25 campaign. His elite quickness and scoring ability make him a valuable asset as the Trojans aim to compete in the Big Ten.
With Marsh now in the fold, USC continues to reshape its roster in preparation for the upcoming season. His ability to contribute on both ends of the floor could make him a key piece in the Trojans’ efforts to return to national prominence.
