(BCSNN) — Dartmouth guard Ryan Cornish has committed to the University of Southern California, joining head coach Eric Musselman’s revamped roster for the 2025-26 season. Cornish, a First Team All-Ivy League selection, brings a wealth of experience and scoring ability to the Trojans after a standout four-year career with the Big Green.

Cornish emerged as one of Dartmouth’s most reliable offensive weapons, averaging 17.1 points per game in his senior season while also contributing 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest. Over his collegiate career, he played in 85 games and amassed 1,014 total points, cementing his place among the program’s top scorers. His ability to create shots, navigate pick-and-roll situations, and finish through contact makes him a valuable addition to USC’s backcourt.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Cornish provides size and versatility at the guard position, attributes Musselman praised upon welcoming him to the program. “Ryan is a combo guard that can give us versatility at both guard spots,” Musselman said. “He is a proven scorer who can not only knock down the three-ball, but he also does an excellent job of drawing free throw attempts”. His ability to stretch the floor and attack the rim will complement USC’s existing guard rotation.

Cornish joins a crowded but talented backcourt that includes incoming freshman Alijah Arenas, Maryland transfer Rodney Rice, and Auburn’s Chad Baker-Mazara. His experience and scoring prowess could provide a stabilizing presence for the Trojans as they look to compete in the Pac-12. Despite the influx of talent, Cornish’s ability to perform in high-pressure situations suggests he will carve out a significant role in the rotation.

As a graduate transfer, Cornish arrives at USC with immediate eligibility for the upcoming season. His addition marks the ninth transfer portal signing for Musselman, who has aggressively reshaped the Trojans’ roster in preparation for his first season at the helm. With Cornish’s scoring ability and leadership, USC hopes to make a deep run in the conference and beyond.

Cornish’s commitment underscores USC’s success in attracting top talent from the transfer portal. As the Trojans finalize their roster, his presence could prove instrumental in their pursuit of a championship-caliber season.
