Providence College men's hockey has bolstered its 2025-26 roster with the addition of four student-athletes. Previous commits Alex Rybakov (Chelyabinsk, Russia), Martin Masa (Brno, Czechia), Jack Parsons (Cortland, N.Y.) and Aaron Matthews (Newton, Mass.) will join the program for the upcoming season.
Rybakov, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound defenseman completed his third season with the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) in 2024-25. He tallied career-highs in goals (6), assists (12), points (18) and plus/minus (+36) last season with the Stampede. In 157 USHL games, Rybakov totaled 35 points on 11 goals and 24 assists. Prior to Sioux Falls, he played two seasons with the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl program in the Russian U16 and U17 leagues.
Masa, a 6-foot-2, 194-pound defenseman finished his second season in the USHL with Cedar Rapids after beginning the year with the Lincoln Stars. He finished 2024-25 with four goals and 24 assists for 28 points split between the two teams. In his first USHL season with Lincoln in 2023-24, he posted three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 60 games. Masa spent his first season in North American at Bishop's College School (Sherbrooke, Que.) during the 2022-23 season, earning an invite to Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp in 2023.
Parsons, a 6-foot-4, 194-pound goaltender posted a 3.09 GAA and .903 save percentage in 35 games with the Chicago Steel (USHL) in 2024-25. He was ranked 10th among North American goaltenders in the NHL Central Scouting rankings entering the 2025 Draft and will attend Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp in 2025. Prior to Chicago, Parsons spent two years with the U.S. National Team Development Program (2022-24) where he recorded a 35-21-0 record. He also spent two seasons at Mount St. Charles Academy (R.I.) from 2020-22, recording a 29-2-1 record with a 2.13 GAA and .923 save percentage in 2021-22. Parsons also appeared internationally for the U.S. at the 2022 World U17 Hockey Challenge and 2024 U18 World Championship.
Matthews, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound goaltender played for the Thunder Hockey Club, Worcester Jr. Railers and New Jersey Rockets (NCDC) in 2024-25. From 2022-24, he split time between the Boston Jr. Bruins (NCDC), Renfrew Wolves (CCHL) and the Worcester Jr. Railers. Matthews posted a 3.60 GAA and .897 save percentage in 26 career NCDC games.
