Sun Devil Men's Basketball will host Gonzaga on Friday, Nov. 14 as part of their 2025-26 non-conference slate. The visiting Zags are expected to be one of the most highly-anticipated home games of the upcoming season.

It is the return trip of an original home-and-home agreement made prior to last season. The Sun Devils gave Gonzaga all they could handle in a close 88-80 loss in Spokane last November.

"It was important for us to secure a home game with a marquee opponent in 2025 for our amazing fan base," Sun Devil Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Hurley remarked. "We are excited to see the atmosphere at Desert Financial Arena. It will also be a tremendous opportunity for our players to compete against one of the best teams in the nation."

The Nov. 14 matchup is part of a busy weekend for Sun Devil Fans. On Friday, Arizona State and Gonzaga will meet on the hardwood. The following day (Nov. 15), Sun Devil Football hosts West Virginia at Mountain America Stadium for their annual Homecoming game. Both the tip-off and kick-off times will be revealed at a later date.

Sun Devil Men's Basketball's non-conference schedule continues to come together. Arizona State was previously announced as participants in the 2025 Maui Invitational. Several additional premier matchups will be announced this summer.

Maui Invitational
The Maui Invitational announced that Sun Devil Men's Basketball will be a part of the highly competitive 2025 field. To be played at the historic Lahaina Civic Center Nov. 24-26, 2025, the 42nd annual tournament will feature eight premier college basketball programs. Arizona State will be joined in a highly talented field that also includes North Carolina State, Seton Hall, Texas, UNLV, USC, Washington State and host Chaminade.

Led by Head Coach and 1992 Maui Invitational co-MVP, Bobby Hurley, the Sun Devils have compiled a 155-131 record during his tenure, including three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Coach Hurley will be the third head coach to lead a team in Maui after winning the Tournament's MVP honors during their playing career (Hardaway/Wojciechowski).

The 2025 Maui Invitational will mark Arizona State's 6th appearance in the tournament (1991, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2007), compiling a 9-6 record during those visits, including winning the 1994 Maui Invitational with Bill Frieder as head coach in which standout power forward Mario Bennett received tournament MVP honors. During their most recent visit to Maui in 2007, NBA star James Harden led the Sun Devils to a 2-1 record where the freshman guard averaged 17 points/game.

Big 12 Schedule
The Big 12 announced the Conference scheduling matrix for the 2025-26 men’s and women’s basketball seasons. Each school has a home-and-home with three other Conference opponents, and faces the other 12 opponents once, with six at home and six on the road for an 18-game Big 12 schedule. Opponents were selected to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness. A full Big 12 schedule will be released next month.

The Sun Devil men’s basketball team will play eight games against conference members that qualified for last season’s NCAA Tournament. Included among those eight games are home dates vs. Arizona, Kansas and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders came within one win of making the 2025 NCAA Final Four.

Included among ASU’s five road games against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams is a matchup against 2025 NCAA Runner-up Houston. The Cougars also claimed the 2025 Big 12 regular season championship and conference tournament.
