(BCSNN) — Butler men’s basketball has added serious size and international experience to its frontcourt with the signing of 7-foot-1 center Kevin Ndzie. The Cameroon native, who boasts a 7-foot-4 wingspan and a résumé that spans European leagues and national team duty, joins the Bulldogs for the 2025–26 season and is already enrolled on campus.
Ndzie most recently played for Urania Milano in Italy’s Serie A2, where he averaged 3.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 58% from the field and 82% from the line. He posted a season-best 15 rebounds in a win over Pallacanestro Cantù and scored 13 points against UCC Piacenza, showcasing his ability to impact games on both ends of the floor.
“Playing in Europe and representing Cameroon has given Kevin tremendous experience that he’ll bring to our program,” said head coach Thad Matta. “His length really stands out and will be impactful in our league. We’re excited he’s a Bulldog.”
Ndzie also competed for Cameroon’s Senior National Team in 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers, adding international pedigree to a Butler roster already brimming with talent. The Bulldogs enter the season fresh off an appearance in the inaugural College Basketball Crown and have reloaded with five impact transfers, including Michael Ajayi (Gonzaga), Yame Butler (Drexel), and Yohan Traore (SMU).
The 2025–26 schedule features 19 games at Hinkle Fieldhouse, beginning with an Oct. 17 exhibition against Notre Dame. Butler will host all 10 BIG EAST foes, starting with Providence on Dec. 13, and kick off a home-and-home series with Boise State on Dec. 6.
With a Top 25 recruiting class and a retooled roster, Butler is poised to make noise in the BIG EAST—and Kevin Ndzie’s arrival adds a new dimension to the Bulldogs’ frontcourt presence.
