(BCSNN) — The nation’s top-ranked team looked every bit the part as the undefeated Coogs cruised to another win on Wednesday night.

Freshman guard Kingston Flemings, along with senior Emanuel Sharp, each contributed 19 points  on the night to lead No. 1 Houston to a commanding 78–45 win over Oakland at Fertitta Center. The Cougars improved to 3–0 and extended their NCAA-best streak of non-conference home games allowing 60 points or fewer to 20 — 14 more than any other active Division I program.

Flemings added nine assists and shot 8-of-12 from the field, while Sharp went 7-of-13 overall and 5-of-9 from three-point range. The duo combined for 22 first-half points as Houston built a 39–17 lead at the break.

Freshman forward Chris Cenac Jr. chipped in 11 points, and the Cougars dominated the paint with a 40–20 scoring edge and a 46–32 rebounding advantage. Houston shot 45% from the field and 9-of-31 from deep.

Oakland (0–3) was led by Isaac Garrett with 20 points and seven rebounds. The Grizzlies shot just 31% and struggled to keep pace after Houston opened the game with an 8–0 run and extended the lead to 21–8 midway through the first half.

What's up next for head coach Kelvin Sampson and the Cougars? The win sets up a ranked showdown for Houston against No. 20/22 Auburn on Sunday in Birmingham, Ala., followed by home and neutral-site matchups against Rider, Syracuse, and No. 18/17 Tennessee.
