(BCSNN) — Seniors Tamin Lipsey and Joshua Jefferson each scored 23 points to lead No. 16 Iowa State to a 96–57 rout of Stonehill on Monday night at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones improved to 4–0 with their fourth straight win by at least 25 points.

Lipsey and Jefferson combined to shoot 17-of-27 from the field, as Iowa State posted a season-best 59.3 percent shooting clip, including 64.3 percent in the second half. Jefferson added team highs in rebounds (9) and steals (4), while Lipsey dished out four assists to move into eighth place on ISU’s all-time assist list with 450.

Milan Momcilovic scored 14 of his 16 points after halftime, and freshman Killyan Toure added 11 points and a career-high four steals in his fourth consecutive start. The Cyclones recorded 14 steals as a team — their fourth game this season with double-digit thefts.

Iowa State jumped out to a 9–0 lead as Stonehill turned the ball over on seven of its first eight possessions. Despite the early miscues, the Skyhawks stayed within 25–18 late in the first half thanks to 4-of-5 shooting from three-point range. The Cyclones responded with a 10–2 run to take a 42–27 lead into the break.

The second half belonged entirely to Iowa State. The Cyclones opened with a 16–5 run, burying four straight three-pointers — one each from Toure, Jefferson, Lipsey, and Momcilovic — to stretch the lead to 58–32. By the seven-minute mark, the margin had ballooned to 79–44.

Iowa State has now held a 25-point lead in every game this season and continues to showcase one of the nation’s most aggressive defensive units.
