(BCSNN) - The Border Showdown belonged to Kansas once again. No. 21 Kansas defeated Missouri 80-60 on Sunday at T-Mobile Center, powered by four players in double figures and a commanding second-half surge.

Senior Tre White led the Jayhawks (7-3) with a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double, his best performance of the season. Freshman Darryn Peterson added 17 points, Bryson Tiller chipped in 13, and Flory Bidunga scored 10. Kansas shot 46 percent from the field and held Missouri (8-2) to its lowest scoring output of the season.

The win extended Kansas’ all-time series lead over Missouri to 177-96 and improved the Jayhawks’ record in Kansas City to 235-87, including 48-13 inside T-Mobile Center. Kansas has now won six of the last seven meetings in the rivalry.

The first half featured six lead changes before Kansas closed on a 12-2 run, capped by White’s buzzer-beating three-pointer for a 33-25 halftime lead. Out of the break, the Jayhawks quickly built an 18-point advantage behind senior Melvin Council Jr., who scored back-to-back baskets.

Kansas never relinquished control, stretching the lead to 20 points in the second half. Tiller and Jamari McDowell fueled the offense after halftime, combining for 21 points. Missouri struggled to respond, unable to match Kansas’ balanced scoring and defensive intensity.

The Jayhawks closed out the StorageMart Border Showdown with authority, continuing their dominance in the rivalry. Kansas now turns its attention to a road matchup against NC State on Dec. 13 in Raleigh, where the Jayhawks lead the all-time series 13-1.
