(BCSNN) — Sincere Parker scored a season‑high 22 points as Memphis delivered its most complete offensive performance of the season in a 95-69 win over UTSA on Sunday night at FedExForum.
Memphis (9-8, 4-1 American) led wire to wire and recorded its largest margin of victory this season, pushing the lead to as many as 29 points in the second half. The Tigers shot a season‑best 56.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3‑point range, with four players scoring in double figures.
Dug McDaniel added 18 points, six rebounds and six assists in a team‑high 30 minutes. Curtis Givens III finished with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Hasan Abdul Hakim contributed 11 points, four rebounds and three assists. Memphis also posted a season‑high 23 assists on 36 made baskets and committed just 12 fouls, its lowest total of the year.
After UTSA cut the deficit to 38-33 in the final minute of the first half, Parker scored five points in 49 seconds to send Memphis into the break with a 43-33 lead. The Tigers opened the second half with an 8-0 run to extend the margin to 57-41 with 15:11 remaining.
A decisive 12-0 burst late in the game put the outcome out of reach. McDaniel sparked the run with back‑to‑back 3‑pointers that stretched the lead to 90-62 with 3:08 left.
Dorian Hayes led UTSA (4-14, 0-6) with 17 points.
The win kept Memphis unbeaten all‑time against UTSA and improved coach Penny Hardaway to 3-0 against the Roadrunners.
