(BCSNN) -- Former Iowa State forward Milan Momcilovic, the No. 1 player in the transfer portal, has committed to Kentucky for the 2026–27 season.

Momcilovic, a 6‑foot‑8 native of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, averaged 16.9 points last season and shot 48.7% from 3‑point range, ranking fifth nationally in 3‑pointers made and first in 3‑point percentage. He participated in the NBA Combine and was considered one of the event’s best shooters, but after being projected as a second‑round pick, he opted to return to college. He reportedly chose between Kentucky, Louisville, St. John’s and Arizona.

Momcilovic delivered several standout performances this past season, including a 34‑point, eight‑three‑pointer outing against Cincinnati and another eight‑three‑pointer game against Arizona in the Big 12 tournament. He also scored 20 points on 6‑of‑12 shooting in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Kentucky.

He becomes the 14th member of Kentucky’s 2026–27 roster, joining a forward group that includes Kam Williams, Braydon Hawthorne, Justin McBride and Ousmane N’Diaye.
