(BCSNN) -- Oregon men’s basketball has assembled one of the nation’s deepest and most intriguing rosters for the 2026–27 season, adding a wave of Division I transfers and two highly regarded freshmen as head coach Dana Altman prepares for a new campaign.

The Ducks bring in eight transfers — Dwayne Aristode (Arizona), Taylor Bol Bowen (Alabama), Pharaoh Compton (San Diego State), Jerry Easter II (USC), Jasper Johnson (Kentucky), Andrew Meadow (Boise State), Fred Payne (Boston College) and Tyrone Riley IV (San Francisco) — along with five‑star freshman Tajh Ariza and three‑star guard Seven Spurlock. The group joins returners Sean Stewart, Luke Johnson and Rian Gonzales, giving Oregon one of its most balanced and versatile rosters in recent years.

Stewart, who played all 32 games last season and started the final 17, averaged 6.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 50.9 percent from the field.

Aristode arrives after averaging 3.8 points and shooting 46.2% from three as a freshman at Arizona, including tying the Wildcats’ freshman single‑game record with six made threes. A former four‑star recruit from Brewster Academy, he has also represented the Netherlands internationally.

Bol Bowen brings size and experience after playing at Alabama and Florida State. The 6‑foot‑10 forward averaged 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks last season and has started 39 games across his career.

Compton, a 6‑foot‑7 forward, played all 33 games for San Diego State last season and averaged 7.5 points on 72.1 percent shooting. Twice named Freshman of the Week in 2024–25, he was the top‑rated recruit from Nevada in 2024.

Easter, a 6‑foot‑5 guard, appeared in 29 games for USC and averaged 4.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists. A standout at Link Academy, he previously averaged 32.3 points in high school and was a First Team All‑State selection in Ohio.

Johnson, a five‑star prospect in 2025, played 35 games at Kentucky and averaged 4.9 points while shooting 88 percent from the free‑throw line. He won gold with Team USA at both the U19 World Cup and U18 AmeriCup.

Meadow brings significant production from Boise State, where he played 102 games and averaged 12.1 points last season while shooting 38.6 percent from three. He scored in double figures 19 times and helped the Broncos reach the Mountain West finals in 2025.

Payne, a left‑handed guard, led Boston College in scoring at 15.8 points per game, adding 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He scored 20 or more points nine times and posted a career‑best five steals against Notre Dame.

Riley, an All‑WCC second‑team selection at San Francisco, averaged 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals while starting all 31 games. He previously earned WCC All‑Freshman honors in 2024–25.

Ariza, a five‑star freshman and the No. 32 player in the 2026 class, starred at Link Academy and competed in the Nike Hoop Summit, Jordan Brand Classic and Iverson Classic. He averaged 27 points and 14 rebounds as a junior at Westchester High School.

Spurlock, a 6‑foot‑5 guard from Dallas, ranked as the No. 8 prospect in Texas and averaged 18.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists in the Overtime Elite playoffs.

With a blend of proven scorers, elite shooters, versatile defenders and high‑ceiling freshmen, Oregon enters the 2026–27 season with renewed optimism and one of the most complete rosters of the Dana Altman era.
