The University of Tulsa will have a participant at the NFL Scouting Combine for the fourth consecutive year as Golden Hurricane running back Deneric Prince will take part at this week's 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.

Prince is coming off a season in which he rushed for 729 yards and five touchdowns in just eight games. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and 91.1 yards per game. Prince had two 200+ rushing games in the 2022 campaign.

Prince, a 6'0" senior from Manvel, Texas, had a career-best 231 yards on 20 carries for an 11.6-yard average at Temple in just his third game of the season. Prince followed that up with a 220-yard performance and two TDs against USF, putting up an 8.5 average per game. He completed his career with 1,728 yards and 14 touchdowns in 26 career games at Tulsa.

Tulsa's NFL Combine invitees in the previous three seasons included Trevis Gipson (DE) and Reggie Robinson II (DB) in 2020, Zaven Collins (LB) in 2021, and Chris Paul (OL), Tyler Smith (OL) and Josh Johnson (WR) in 2022.  Collins and Smith were first round NFL selections, Robinson was picked in the fourth round, Gipson in the fifth and Paul in the seventh round.

The NFL Scouting Combine allows prospects to participate in on-field drills in front of NFL evaluators. Additionally, prospects have the opportunity to interview with NFL teams.
