TCU Head Football Coach Sonny Dykes has announced the signing of Blake Robinett, adding to the Horned Frogs' top-ranked recruiting class in the Big 12.
A 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman from All Saints' Episcopal in Fort Worth, Robinett totaled 48.5 tackles for loss with 20.5 sacks among 148 stops in his prep career. He recorded career-high totals of 8.0 sacks and 18.5 TFLs as a senior. The three-star recruit is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 205 defensive lineman and No. 274 overall prospect in Texas. He was an all-district selection by the Dallas Morning News and TAPPS.
"I chose TCU because I think Coach Dykes is building something special at TCU," Robinett said. "I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be close to home and near my family. I also think (TCU Defensive Line) Coach (JaMarkus) McFarland will develop me to my full potential."
TCU announced 29 signings during the December period and has the nation's No. 24 class.
