A pair of American Athletic Conference defensive backs heard their names called on the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft, which continued Friday evening in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
East Carolina cornerback Savon Revel Jr. was the first player from The American to come off the board when he was taken by the Dallas Cowboys with the 12th selection in the third round (76th overall). Revel missed the 2024 season due to a knee injury, but was impressive in his predraft workouts and was considered a first-round talent by many observers.
Tulane cornerback Caleb Ransaw was chosen later in the third round as the Jacksonville Jaguars selected the Green Wave standout with the 24th pick (88th overall).
The 2025 draft concludes Saturday with Rounds 4-7.
