(BCSNN) — North Oconee High School wide receiver Dallas Dickerson, one of Georgia’s top prep playmakers, announced that he has committed to play college football at the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound speedster made his decision public via social media, choosing the Wildcats over a host of Power Five programs including Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.

Dickerson, a three-star prospect in the Class of 2026, was a key contributor to North Oconee’s undefeated 15-0 season and first-ever GHSA state championship in 2024. Known for his elite speed—clocked at 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash—and reliable hands, Dickerson is ranked among the top 75 wide receivers nationally. His commitment marks the 10th for Kentucky’s 2026 class and the third wide receiver to pledge to the Wildcats this cycle.

“Coach Washington thinks I could be one of the best receivers to ever go through Kentucky,” Dickerson told KSR+ ahead of his announcement. “He believes in me a lot and my potential under their developmental program”. The Wildcats’ new wide receivers coach, L’Damian Washington, played a pivotal role in securing Dickerson’s commitment, accelerating his official visit and sealing the deal before other suitors could make a final push.

Dickerson’s decision is a significant win for Kentucky, which continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail under head coach Mark Stoops. The Wildcats beat out a competitive field that included Florida, NC State, Indiana, Duke, and Wisconsin, among others. Oklahoma was believed to be a late frontrunner before Kentucky’s aggressive recruiting strategy turned the tide.

For Dickerson, the commitment offers a chance to compete in the SEC and develop in a system that has produced several NFL-caliber receivers in recent years. His senior season at North Oconee begins August 15 with the annual Hog Mountain Bowl, where he’ll look to defend the Titans’ three-year winning streak against rival Oconee County.
