(BCSNN) — Boise State forced five turnovers and scored 24 unanswered points Friday night, defeating Nevada 24-3 in a defensive showcase at Mackay Stadium.

The win made the Broncos (6-2, 4-0 Mountain West) bowl eligible for the 28th consecutive season, the second-longest active streak in the FBS.

Boise State recorded three interceptions and two fumble recoveries, holding the Wolf Pack (1-7, 0-4) to 247 total yards and just 4-of-12 on third down. Jeremiah Earby led the effort with two interceptions, while A’Marion McCoy added his third pick in as many games. Mana Tuioti and Boen Phelps each recovered fumbles.

Offensively, the Broncos scored three rushing touchdowns and outgained Nevada 308-247. Sire Gaines, Maddux Madsen and Dylan Riley each found the end zone, with Riley’s fourth-quarter score capping an 8-minute drive to seal the win.

Boise State has now won 16 straight games against Mountain West opponents, its longest conference streak in program history. The Broncos have outscored opponents 66-18 in the second half over their last three games.
