(BCSNN) — Quinton Jackson delivered a career-defining performance Saturday night, rushing for 168 yards and three touchdowns — including the game-winner in double overtime — to lead Rice past UConn 37–34 at Rice Stadium.

Jackson added 80 receiving yards and electrified the crowd with two scoring plays over 70 yards, helping the Owls (4–4) snap a three-game losing streak. UConn (5–3) saw its four-game win streak come to an end.

After trailing 24–17 late in the third quarter, Rice tied the game on a 91-yard drive capped by freshman D’Andre Hardemann’s first career touchdown. The Owls and Huskies traded scores in the first overtime before Rice’s defense held UConn to a field goal in the second frame.

Jackson sealed the win with a 23-yard dash on Rice’s final possession, capping a night that included a 73-yard rushing score and a 75-yard touchdown reception.

Next up: Rice returns to American Conference play Friday, Nov. 1 against Memphis. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
