(BCSNN) — Coastal Carolina erased another double-digit deficit and forced five turnovers to storm past Marshall 44–27 on Thursday night at Brooks Stadium, extending its win streak to three and staying in the hunt atop the Sun Belt East.

Quarterback Samari Collier accounted for four total touchdowns — two passing, two rushing — and the Chanticleers (5–3, 4–1 Sun Belt) ripped off 27 unanswered points in the second half to seize control. The defense forced turnovers on four straight drives in the third quarter and converted those takeaways into 20 points.

The game unfolded in a festive setting, as Conway — dubbed “The City of Halloween” — transformed the stadium into a neon-lit spectacle. Coastal players wore glow-in-the-dark jerseys and helmets to match the occasion.

After trailing 13–3 early in the second quarter, Collier sparked the comeback with a 2-yard touchdown run. Freshman Dominic Knicely added a 59-yard scoring burst before halftime, and Collier connected with Malcolm Gillie (69 yards) and Bryson Graves (17 yards) for second-half touchdowns. Kian Afrookhteh added three field goals to help build the lead.

Collier’s second rushing score — a 1-yard keeper midway through the fourth — sealed the win. Xamarion Gordon led the defense with nine tackles, while Dontae Lunan and Myles Woods each intercepted passes.

Marshall (4–4, 2–2) outgained Coastal 432–410 but turned the ball over five times, including three fumbles and two interceptions.
