(BCSNN) — Louisiana Tech turned Halloween night into a nightmare for Sam Houston, piling up 425 rushing yards and six ground touchdowns in a 55–14 blowout at Joe Aillet Stadium.

The Bulldogs (5–3, 3–2 C-USA) scored multiple touchdowns in every quarter and racked up 646 total yards in one of the most dominant performances of the Conference USA season.

Quarterback Blake Baker threw for 221 yards and a touchdown, while Clay Thevenin led the rushing attack with 143 yards and three scores. Omiri Wiggins added 136 yards and a touchdown, and Andrew Burnette capped the night with a 66-yard sprint to the end zone.

LA Tech opened the game with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Baker to Devin Gandy, then added two more scores in the first half to build a 27–0 lead. Sam Houston (0–8, 0–5 C-USA) briefly responded after halftime, but the Bulldogs answered with three more touchdowns, including an 85-yard pick-six by Jacob Fields.
