(BCSNN) — For the first time in his three-year tenure at Colorado, head coach Deion Sanders barred his players from speaking postgame, choosing to make the Buffaloes’ 52–17 loss to Arizona solely about himself... like everything.

"Don't attack the coordinators. Come at me. Don't attack the players. Come at me," Sanders said in an over-dramatic scene reminiscent of a junior high school play.

And while Colorado is getting kicked around like some JUCO program that has no business playing in the FBS, much less a power conference, Deion isn't deterred. "I don't doubt me. Let's get that straight: I. Don't. Doubt. Me," proclaimed Sanders. No one doubted the final score either. But at least Prime's self-esteem is high, even if his offense's output isn't.

Colorado (3–6, 1–5 Big 12) trailed 38–7 at halftime after committing nine first-half penalties and finished with 14 flags and five turnovers. Two of the infractions erased a 75-yard touchdown and an interception, compounding a disastrous start.

Quarterback Kaidon Salter was benched late in the first half after throwing for just 49 yards on 11-of-15 passing. Ryan Staub replaced him but was pulled after throwing two interceptions in the third quarter. Freshman Ju-Ju Lewis entered and delivered a 59-yard touchdown pass to Omarion Miller — the first of Lewis’s career and the longest completion of the night.

Lewis exited in the final minute with an injury to his throwing hand.

The Buffaloes were coming off a 53–7 loss at Utah and have now been outscored 81–7 in the first half over their last two games. But at least Deion doesn't doubt himself. The coach feeling good about himself is always the most important thing, right?
