(BCSNN) — You can't count out the Tigers. Clemson clawed its way to a signature road win Wednesday night, stunning No. 20 Louisville, 20-19, in a back-and-forth battle at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Running back Adam Randall delivered the game-winning touchdown on fourth-and-goal with 7:16 remaining, capping a six-play, 56-yard drive that included a career-long 46-yard burst.

The Tigers (5-5, 4-4 ACC) held Louisville scoreless on the Cards' final four drives, including two missed field goals, to preserve the upset and improve to 9-1 all-time against the Cardinals — including a perfect 5-0 mark on the road.

Randall finished with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, adding 27 receiving yards. Quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 22-of-34 passes for 187 yards, while sophomore receiver T.J. Moore led the team with 68 receiving yards on six catches.

Defensively, linebacker Sammy Brown led the charge with 11 tackles (2.0 for loss) and a sack. Cornerback Avieon Terrell forced and recovered a fumble, setting a new Clemson record for career forced fumbles by a defensive back (7).

Clemson struck first with a 27-yard field goal by Nolan Hauser, but Louisville responded with a touchdown and two field goals to take a 19-13 lead midway through the third quarter. After a fumble at the goal line stalled a promising Clemson drive, the Tigers forced a three-and-out and marched downfield for Randall’s go-ahead score.

Louisville had two chances to retake the lead, but missed field goals from 50 and 48 yards sealed the Tigers’ victory.

With bowl eligibility just one win away, Clemson returns to Death Valley for Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day against Furman on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
