(BCSNN) The new Pac-12 will launch next season, but at least one of its flagship programs looks like a broken down old jalopy that can barely run. To put it mildly, Oregon State got the **** kicked out of it Saturday night. Tulsa rushed for 283 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground to power past Oregon State 31–14 at H.A. Chapman Stadium, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Dominic Richardson led the charge with a season-high 166 rushing yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, while quarterback Baylor Hayes added 163 passing yards and a score.

Tulsa (3–7) jumped out to a 14–0 lead in the first quarter behind a 24-yard touchdown run from Richardson and a 6-yard touchdown pass from Hayes to tight end Brody Foley. Foley set a career high with seven catches for 95 yards and two total touchdowns, including a 5-yard rushing score in the third quarter.

The Golden Hurricane defense held Oregon State (4–6) scoreless until the fourth quarter, forcing key stops and capitalizing on penalties. Ray Coney anchored the unit with 10 tackles and a sack, while Ty Cooper added an 8-yard sack in the second quarter.

Ajay Allen broke loose for a 31-yard touchdown run early in the fourth to push Tulsa’s lead to 31–0. Oregon State responded with two late scores, but Tulsa’s early dominance and rushing attack sealed the win.

Up next: Tulsa travels to West Point to face Army on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. CT on CBS Sports Network.
