(BCSNN) No. 12 BYU delivered a complete performance Saturday night, rolling past TCU 44-13 at LaVell Edwards Stadium to improve to 9-1 on the season.

The Cougars scored on their first seven possessions and held the Horned Frogs to a season-low 13 points and just 298 total yards - well below their 426-yard average.

Freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier led the charge with 296 passing yards and two touchdowns - one through the air and one on the ground - marking his seventh game this season with scores in both categories. He also surpassed 2,000 passing yards on the year. LJ Martin added 88 rushing yards, while Parker Kingston and Carsen Ryan led the receiving corps with 80 and 79 yards, respectively.

BYU’s offense racked up 344 yards and 21 first downs in the first half alone, the most first downs in a half since 2021. The Cougars dominated time of possession 36:05 to 23:55 and never let TCU find rhythm.

Defensively, Isaiah Glasker and Max Alford each recorded six tackles, while Faletau Satuala and Tanner Wall intercepted passes - Wall returning his for a pick-six, the first of his career.

Head coach Kalani Sitake praised the team’s urgency and execution: “It felt good, the way I’ve been asking us to play this whole time… especially in November, where we can try to build some momentum off it."
