(BCSNN) -- Kentucky football has added depth to its quarterback room with the commitment of Callum Wither, a 6‑foot‑4, 215‑pound passer from Ontario, Canada. Wither will join the Wildcats this fall, according to Justin Dunk of 3 Down Nation.

Wither’s path to Lexington has been unconventional. He began his college career at Ohio in 2022 but never appeared in a game during his three seasons with the Bobcats. He later transferred to Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, where he delivered a breakout year — completing 72.7% of his passes for 2,472 yards, 26 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

Wither initially committed to Maryland earlier this spring before backing off that pledge and choosing Kentucky instead. He is expected to bolster the Wildcats’ depth chart as they continue to build out the position under offensive coordinator Will Stein.

While Wither lacks Division I game experience, his time in multiple systems and his production in Canada make him an intriguing late addition.

A move like this, especially in the summer window, signals Kentucky’s desire to ensure stability and depth behind its top quarterbacks heading into the 2026 season.
